Auckland City Council Officers' Plan "an attack on democracy"

City Vision / Labour councillors claim the Auckland City Council officers' report unveiled this morning is an attack on democracy as it plans to reduce the number of elected members and cost them their jobs.

Meanwhile TV3 reports that the plan includes an elected Lord Mayor.

Update 1 April The other regional mayors have criticised the Auckland super-city idea.
